Max Block Build
|
Is it possible to make a max block build without:
1. Using all of your passive skill points. 2. Using the Crest of Perandus. 3. Using the Anvil. 4. Using two Ungil's Gauches. Or do you have to spend all of your points without using one or more of those items? |

" No. You MUST use every single point on block nodes. /sarcasm For years i searched for deep truths. A thousand revelations. At the very edge...the ability to think itself dissolves away.Thinking in human language is the problem. Any separation from 'the whole truth' is incomplete. My incomplete concepts may add to your 'whole truth', accept it or think about it

" I didn't ask for sarcasm. Either get on topic or stay out. " That is a link to a build with 24% increased chance to block with shields with another 4% while using a shield or dual wielding. " No, as this isn't help for me. I'm discussing it. Without those items, it's practically impossible to make a max block build without making it just about the only thing your passive skill tree does. Back on topic: The highest amount of block is from a 32% base shield with a 6% roll, raising it to 38%. With 28% from the tree, that's 64%. That's pretty good, but not near max block. |

For a DPS upgrade to Ungil's Gauche, you can use Essentia Sanguis:
A pair of these will give you 20% Chance to Block, compared to Ungil's 40%. Along with the 15% block chance from dual-wielding, you'll need to pick up another 40% block chance from gear and/or the passive tree. These nodes are plentiful on the lower right side of the tree, and the Duelist or Scion are the most convenient places to start. Here's an example of a 100-point build with max block, 218% Increased Life, and over 200% Increased Physical Weapon Damage: Essentia Sanguis lacks Ungil's Critical Strike mods, but has built-in Ghost Reaver and thus 6% Energy Shield leech. I'm not sure how that plays out with Patch 1.1's leech nerf, but if nothing else it will keep your ES alive for the 50% chance to avoid stun. With Multistrike and Faster Attack gems, this build has a sickeningly fast Dual Strike attack rate. Also recommended: Last edited by RogueMage#7621 on Mar 20, 2014, 4:57:24 AM

build
36% from build, 4% tempest = 40%, get a 35% shield and u are capped without uniques. I have a 30% block shield so my block is 70%. apart the block build provides: 186% phys dmg with daggers 50% attack speed with daggers 380% crit strike with daggers 45% crit multy 102% evasion and evasion + armor 246% max life +1 to power charges Iron reflexes so, you cant argue that build has block only and little of other stuff. I can vouch it is a fully functional end game build (78 maps, Atziri...) provided you have end game gear. items shop: 364086 ign: [ICU]missuse if you like to HLD, add me inactive in game atm, PM me if you need something.
