Is there a reason you cannot dual wield scepters?

Is it the same reason you cannot dual wield shields? I don't see what would make dual wielding scepters. Is there something I am missing?

With a game of so much freedom, why counter intuitively and cryptically limit these.

Dual shield would look hilarious (and presumably disable all attacks), but it would probably be imba in the hands of spellcasters, who could reach max block with no effort at all, get hefty spellblock from certain items, load up on ES even more than they already do and become super tanks.

It would certainly be bizarre if sceptres could not be dual-wielded. Are you mixing up the words 'sceptre' and 'shield' here?

I'm sure I already had dualwielded sceptres.

you can dual wield scepters.

You can't however, dual wield a scepter AND a wand.
