Orb of Transmutation and Alteration

I have like 40 of those , is there any use for this kind of orb except when you are very low level?

Alterations are useful for all levels of play. You might have hundreds of them involved in crafting high level gear.

If anything, they're so good on high-level items that it's considered somewhat wasteful to use them on low level items.

@Func_door, what is the worth of these orbs? I've seen hundreds of people trying to buy/trade for them in chat. Considering they seem easy enough to find/farm, I find it strange that so many people are looking for them.

I had to use a lot of Alteration to get the stats I want on an accessory. I don't what's the worth on the market, but on the vendor it requires 4 Orb of Augmentation

They are quite easy to find and farm individually, but they're used in such massive quantity by characters of all levels that they're never "useless". I've used over 40 alts on a darned quicksilver flask and I'm still not satisfied with the rolls. Individually of course they're still a "low end" orb in terms of trade value (4 augs to an alt, 2 alts to a jewelers).
