CORRUPTION AND MIRRORED ITEMS
So watching one of the spoiler vid's and saw Chris strongly suggested that you cannot use an eternal orb to undo corruption.
He basically said that this is a new layer of rng that you cannot undo to add a new epic layer of rng to the mix. IE: do you corrupt a mirror worthy item taking the risk of destroying it? This begs the question (assuming the above is true): Can you corrupt a mirrored item? Both scenarios have interesting implications. If you can corrupt mirrored items then that just means you never corrupt a mirror worthy. You set up the sockets, mirror it and take shots at the copies (boring). If you can't corrupt mirrored items, things get much more epic. Now there is another layer of super high risk above the current perfect rolls. Literally putting an item worth thousands on the line. something that doesn't matter to 95% of the player base.

You can't modify mirrored items so I would say no.

you definitely should not be able to corrupt a mirrored item.

"I am one of those 95% but the 95% still likes to hear stuff like this and is interested in it. "This is probably the case. But then it makes you wonder if you can mirror a corrupted item? If not (that would follow the trend) then you are basically risking having a mirror shop that can create almost perfect mirrored items for the true top tier of item...... this is the scenario I am hoping for. risking a mirror shop with near perfect items for 1 perfect unmodifiable item and the chance to lose it all. That is an epic layer of rng. The people bitching about RMT are gonna have a field day. Last edited by Splift#4377 on Feb 28, 2014, 8:15:46 PM

I think its great because in some way it just dumped on the RMT mirrorable item crafters.
Oh wait, sorry I shouldnt accuse. Im sure selling chaos orbs for 20 alts ea in trade 24/7 is how people manage to earn the hundreds to thousands of ex it takes to craft those items. |

" RMT is not the only way. There's always bots. How do you think the RMT sites get their wealth. Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do.

" The other way to look at it is this is such a steep layer of rng that maybe a handfull or 2 of LEGIT players that have been massing wealth in standard since open beta will be able to make use of at the top level (of course regular players still have lower tier uses for the orbs). Unless they just YOLO it. Personally I think its cool though. Even though I will never be able to get anything close to these items I still find it neat that they are out there and possible (nomatter how minuscule the chance) for me to get. Other people though seem to get offended by items that are too rare for just anyone to obtain at will though. |

no currencies can be used on a mirrored item

And as per Chris, no currency can be used on corrupted items.
Mirrored cannot be corrupted and corrupted cannot be mirrored. |
