How popular is pathofexile.com?
|
I often saw many short charts of PoE from Steam which are too short to pull any information or conclusion from it. People claiming PoE is doomed blablabla.
But here we have a real graph about the popularity of PathofExile.com since 2012. According to Alexa, PoE got an increasing popularity since early 2012. A TWO years graph! You will notice a huge spike at the beginning of Closed Beta, followed by another at release. The remaining popularity following each spike has been higher each time. Good job GGG, keep it growing. http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/pathofexile.com If we do the same for Diablo 3, we can see a decreasing popularity. http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/http://us.battle.net/d3/en Remember these stats are for the website only, but it says alot. that first graph is so fucked up it doesnt make any sence ( to me).

" It's traffic rank. The website that goes the highest is the website that has the most traffic out of the entire internet. The numbers on the left are the rankings. To the right of the graph is the current rank among all websites worldwide. | |

Personally I don't give a damn if a game is popular or not.

"I think most players don't play it on steam. Why would you want to use steam drm on a free game? The doom and gloom people are showing on steam is probably just the usually decline that happens as the leagues go on (the exact same happend with d2 ladders). When SOTV comes out you know those numbers will shoot back up |

Comparing pathofexile.com to battle.net is a bit unfair :P
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
