How is Rathpith Globe Titanium Spirit Shield evaluated?
Hi,
I am wondering how is the unique item Rathpith Globe Titanium Spirit Shield evaluated? What kind of build would require it ? Or it is just has reasonable stats? BTW: Where should I ask such item-related questions? Thank you! |

its really good, especially in the current version of the game where everyone is playing life+block builds. Note that this may change with the new patch if there are a lot of passive balancing
id use it on any tanky caster who doesnt need crit on the shield Dogs Summoner - http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/885199 Last edited by Amiag#0234 on Feb 23, 2014, 12:51:53 PM

What does it mean by block build ? :)~

any build that aims at capping block + spell block
with this + stone of lazhwar you can cap spellblock rather easily and that makes a world of difference especially against some bosses Dogs Summoner - http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/885199 Last edited by Amiag#0234 on Feb 23, 2014, 1:05:19 PM

I see, the reason we want to block spell is because high elemental dmg can the resulting status would be painful ?~

Not just the status effects... think about piety/dominus/megadeara/shock & horror... all of them mostly do ele dmg. Imagine 50% spellblock and a ruby/topaz flask against them...
It's not just about status effects even though shock stacks etc can be terrifying... you just won't take damage from lots of scary stuff |

True. But in order to utilize that, sounds like I need the rainbowstride boot or stone of lazhwar, plus taking some passive nodes to adding the block chance. Just this shield has only about 30% * 50% = 15% spell break rate.
