My opinion on corrupted items !
|
I think that corrupted items will do exactly what Dominius "Rain of Blood" spell does
"Rain of Blood" - A rain of blood washes on the area, causing players to receive stacks of corrupted blood approximately at the rate of one stack per second "Power and corruption " - Corrupted items will have stronger affixes but will corrupt the gems placed in them )that is why the little drop of blood appears on skills in the screanshots) "lose blood, recive physical damage" - Using a corrupted gem will cause the player to recive stacks of corrupted blood, meaning that he will recive damage per second depending on the number of stacks he has Excuse my english, Thanks ! |

" This is the only one that really makes sense, but that would make corrupted jewelry basically a freebie, so I kinda doubt it. I don't really think corrupted items will have a straight-forward downside, I think they'll just be different and have inherent downsides by not being able to roll certain mods. That's just me though. IGN: Smegmazoid

I think they will add a "currency" that have 50% chance to put a White socket on your item, or 50% chance to complety destroy it. So you have to sacrifice your item to get a white socket, or get lucky enough to put a withe socket on it.

The only downside of gems, its that their new implicit effect has 1 charge and you need to refull it before using so you can't "spam" it
The gear we already saw you give up implicit mod for a new one - amu/rings Reading your downsides, you are masochist or what? "The exodus of humanity in search of a new home? It is like spreading a virus in the healthy space."

Well we have seen no examples of that.
Corrupted gems basically look like enhanced versions of the regular ones except with a cooldown that needs kills to be reset. Corrupted items..... hard to say, in one case it looked like the implicit was replaced with a completely new affix and in another case you could not see any change at all. Regular game areas can be corrupted and this adds affixes....... aside from that who knows. The term "corrupted" sorta implies that there will be some bad side to these items, maybe not being able to remove them without some sort of currency. A purifying orb maybe? |
