Stuck after boss fight

Hi guys,

I have a problem, i am stuck after the battle with the Vaal Overseer. I was cooping( is that even a word, i don't know) with a friend. I died in the fight but my friend survived and killed it. So when i come back the monster is dead and all the loot is on the floor, but i can't progress through the next door...

Any help would be appreciated!

My guess is you havent completed the Bandit trilogy and received the apex(or helped one with the other two shards to receive the apex). Without this, you can not progress past Vaal. Seeing how you were partied, you can participate, but not continue..

Oh, and when i leave the boss room and re-enter it, it's still the same, haven't tried doing the whole dungeon over again or logging off, because i really don't want to do the dungeon again actually

I think you have to be in the room when he dies - being alive or a corpse

so you probably have to kill him again

You have to be present, alive or dead, when the boss dies. You weren't so you didn't get credit. You have to go back to the start of the pyramid and make a new instance (if the old one hasn't expired yet) and do it again. If you completed the bandit quest, the apex they gave you will be missing from your inventory, but that's ok. When you get to the top just click on the machine and the fight will be started.

Thanks guys for the quick reaction, just to be certain and prevent any future problems, if i die and don't ressurect ill still get credited and can continue after returning to the boss room?

Yes, so if it's at the end of the fight and you won't make it back in time, stay dead. Unless your teammates are nice and wait for you to get back before they kill him.
