Is it not possible to reroll sockets on mirrored items?

If not, then - according to the lore - it also doesn't make sense that unique items can have their sockets rerolled.
Lore is still a thing, you know! >: ( IRON MAN

" All unique items are mirrored, and you can't mirror a mirrored item. That's how you have multiple copies of 'unique' items. QED IRON MAN

SHHH.
The last thing we need is for them to decide that we can no longer change unique items once they drop. |

We don't have any lore as to why uniques drop as they do. You cannot reroll the sockets on mirrors, that much is true, but that doesn't mean mirrors are the reason for unique items dropping.

your answer with regards to unique items:
Broadstroke quivers are THE prime example. When the Sarn knights saw lightly armed archers, they tossed their shields aside and got pulped by arrows for their troubles. With regards to other examples like Kaom's sign/Asenath's mark, it is likely that given the rarity of the unique, there may be only ONE such example. Remember also that the Maelstrom takes us to alternate shadow dimensions of a Wraeclast that might have been. Other copies of a unique would most definitely exist on such an alternate world. They may have been found in there, and somehow wound up being disseminated into Wraeclast Prime, our current world. As for how this actually works, you'd need a quantum physicist or a fanfic writer to explain. This is a layman's nutshell explanation only. 1337 21gn17ur3
