Building a Tempest Shield/Freezing Pulse MAX BLOCK Witch!? [NEMESIS]

Your thoughts?

Purpose/Idea: To incorporate maximum safety mid to late game while also dealing a good sum of damage from freezing pulse and lightning shield. Although freezing pulse is a ranged type spell, the maximum spell block and block chance provided by the build and items will allow you to get up close and personal. In doing so, you will damage foes with a constant spam of freezing pulse and tempest shield.

Testing: Still under development, need thoughts on whether it is actually worth experimenting with [if it already hasn't been done] or if there are just too many flaws for me to actually test.

See entire passive skill tree ^.

Equips required:
Stone of Lazhwar - 50% Block Chance for Spells is crucial for this build, the extra mana also will allow future possibilities of running auras.
Wurm's Molt - Mana Leech and additional stats is again, crucial to sustain mana while running auras.
Moonsorrow - Great for the extra % lightning damage that will be applied to the Tempest Shield, also synergistic with the nature of the Freeze Pulse gem and this build.
Rathpith Globe - 40 to 60% Block Chance for Spells, Spell Damage, % Life, great overall item that is arguably the most important piece in this build.

While some of the other item's may be optional, the Rathpith Globe and Stone of Lazhwar seems to be "no brainer" essential items to this build. While the mana leech from the Wurm's Molt can be attained from other items like rings/amulets etc.

Onto Gems -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Main Skill Gems:
Tempest Shield
Freezing Pulse

Aura Gems [Will vary depending on the user's needs, but 3 Auras should be max, I think? I will have to do some tweaking on the passive skill tree to make use of auras more viable]:
Determination/Discipline
Haste
Hatred/Wrath
Purity of Elements

Support Gems: ---------Still Under Development---------

Please tell me what this build can do to improve, I'm still not quite sure about the block percentages and spell block percentages that this build provides, but I am sure that it does reach max. Hopefully, the block/spell block over caps so I can pour more of the passive skills into spell damage and elemental damage.

Meh.

So many misconceptions.

- Freezing Pulse is a cold-spell. Without scaling it with Critchance/Critmultiplier it won't be even close dmg-wise to "easier" Skills like Incinerate etc. Also the defensive aspect of freezing enemys won't work without Crit/Critmulti, because the damage will stay below the freeze-treshold.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDV17wcjAN4 <- That's a pretty good video on status-elements.

- Going Block has some pretty advantages, spellblock moreso. But traveling over the complete skilltree just to grad those nodes, neglecting the most important ones: Not so much.

- If you want to go life-base, you need tons of additional life. tons. 56% increased max-life on a 120-build is nothing short of nonsense if you plan to play that char in Merciless and level past 70. Other than that, plan with a 100-point-build.

- Wurm's Molt and the Blooddrinker-Node give nothing. It's physical attack damage. Freezing Pulse and Lightning Shield are Spells.

If you'd take my advice... Read some of those guides here (http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/549763) at the forum towards Witch-Builds. I guess a block-heavy-build, based around Stone of Lazhwar and Rathpith Globe is a nice base to start from, maybe add in a Cloak of Defiance and go Eldritch Battery. But your current build is just extremly useless and won't lead to anything.

What Toartmock said plus resolute technique is a nogo as spells NEVER miss any way (plus without the ability to crit you can no longer freeze).
