Pain Attunement indication?

How does one know when Pain Attunement kicked in? There seems to be no indicated buff on the character, I am trying to balance out my health, but it's not easy to spot.

I believe it kicks in at 30% health. I would be to afraid to try it.

I want to use Clarity with Blood magic stone to have my health constantly low because it will be reserved, but I really want to see some indicator of when it is working. Numbers in DPS screens don't change and there is no general clue of whether or not PA works. =/

here is a reddish "aura" that surrounds you when you are on low life, if you see this around you you will know pain atunment is active, assuming of course that you took the passive.

Do I understand it right, that it won't work with Chaos Inoculation, since you will be either on 100% or 0% HP?
