He's a top USA barb and has been playing/farming d3 since its launch, so to give up on d3 with so much time invested - just goes to show how stale and boring D3 has become and how interested he is in POE and it's success; just like he was interested in d3 at one point.

This is NOT good news for the d3 community, and its up to the dev. team to come out and fix what is wrong with d3. Hopefully with the firing of Jay Wilson things will move forward but I doubt it.

For someone as good at gaming as King Kongor (though he is a bit of a toss personality wise) to support POE is good for POE.

I play both games, but have been considering myself, quitting d3 as it is absolutely boring and I have reached ALL my ingame goals with 4 characters 50+ paragon with really solid gear and all capable of farming act 3/act 5 and easily doing ubrs mp10. I am pretty much done with d3, so sick of act 3 it makes me puke.

D3 remains for me, 'flop game of the year'. However, I have alot of time invested so I don't think I will take a radical move and sell all my gear; but probably not farm or play it at all until maybe the expansion is released. If it is ever released that is.

A new ARPG is in the works that I'm also watching is GRIM DAWN, and this game of course is fun to mash up.

Anyway, thats my 0.02 cents on all that.
I think I watched his stream once, pretty sure he was the guy that like 30 seconds after I went in and began watching him he died, started raging and cursing at his keyboard saying things like "I don't even know why I play this fucking game, I didn't want to play it in the first place. This shit is stupid" as well as other obscenities.

At that point I decided that my IQ was dropping, so I left the stream.

Jay Wilson was actually transferred to a different project, not fired from D3. rumour is he's working on Titan, the next blizz-mmo. Blizz is going down the drain. Good thing that POE was released!

This is pretty much what happens to everyone unless they get sucked in and lose so much iq they cant get out anymore.
Jay Wilson being moved off the D3 team does nothing positive or negative for D3. Just calms down all the haters.

Personally, I don't think having as asshole streamer like Kongor is a way to get this game out there, unless you want people that are willing to watch him stream... which, you get the picture. I would buy a t-shirt and do tell my friends about it.

While I don't know if I would call him a good gamer and I only have one class almost at PL100, everything you said is pretty much spot on to my own situation. The D3 developers really dropped the ball on not acknowledging the fact that most people just farm act 3 and farm act 3. If it wasn't for the fact I want to hit PL100 (why stop now when I'm PL95), I would be completely done with the game.

PoE offers that certain level of customization that I was desperately looking for in an ARPG (like D2).
