How does Auxium work?
Hi guys,
Can someone please clarify to me as to how the chill / freeze mechanism on Auxium works? When they say 65% of energy shield, is that 65% in seconds? If so, the item is redundant for CI builds? Thanks IGN: _FuRi

its much like if you have life, and you dont get frozen as long, pretty much the same as wearing a, except theres the chance or actually being frozen.. but not only does it provide ES/Mana , Reduced chill, it also adds damage so you can use a better ring...
Why ask Why and start by denying before you have actually tried? Last edited by JuggaloScruffy#0806 on Feb 1, 2014, 11:39:28 PM

" Thanks for the reply, but if the freeze time is based on '65% of ES', wouldn't that mean the more ES you have the more time you are frozen for? IGN: _FuRi

How long you are frozen for what depends on what percentage of your hp you are damaged by the attack. The higher the percentage the long you are frozen.
If you have CI then you have 1hp(or low life ES build and have low total hp)and anything that freezes you will do so for a long time. Auxium makes it so the freeze duration is based on 65% of you ES rather then on the 1hp. If you have 1000ES then the freeze duration you experience would be the same as someone with 650 hp. Guess it is just as beneficial to low life ES builds as it is to CI. Will edit if I am completely wrong! |

" This part is not quite correct. With CI, your effective hp for determining the duration of shock stacks, chill, freeze, and stun is equal the the amount of hp you would have without Chaos Inoculation. This is usually low enough that you're just as screwed as if you only had 1 hp vs level appropriate content, but it isn't the same thing. XD And for the OP, keep in mind that if the duration is short enough, the effect doesn't happen at all. Last edited by KG31459#1353 on Feb 2, 2014, 4:07:55 AM
