Two handed swords are a blast as shadow

I tried going dual sword shadow, but I was missing something... some serious brute damage. Then I tried a marauder and that just didn't have the versatility I needed. Then I tried a shadow speccing for two handed swords and could not be happier
I highly recommend going shadow with a two handed sword. The versatility of traps, flicker, and especially cleave make two handed swords sooo much fun. Also double strike always seemed so weak with dual sword and pointless since the one hand sword swings are already fairly quick. However, using double strike with a slow moving two handed sword (now fast with the ability) makes it deadly; spamming it on bosses/champions makes them go cry home to their mommies. two handed sword shadow... Interesting. I just started a shadow tonight and have been using a two hander as well. I'm only at lvl 11 but have not even bothered spending any skill points yet (though the warden just handed me my ass so it's definitely time).
You are absolutely right though, it's a blast to play. Gonna give your build a try, thanks! |

I don't understand what the point of this build is. What is different about this from just being a 2H Marauder or Ranger?
Is there class specific gear or skills that I don't know about? Wouldn't it be easier to start out in the Marauder tree and work towards the Shadow side if you're focusing on using a 2H? It would even seem to make more sense in your build since the starting node from Marauder that you skipped is +13% hp and you took a few +12% hp you could have skipped to get the +13%. |

As far as i know u cant use dual strike with 2 handed

Using all 111 points is useless/not realistic. Better to plan a starter build using 50-60-70 points to have a overview.
For example you will need a lot of passives to get to the Marauder tree and meanwhile you will need useful passives to survive to get to that area. Ingame: KAZZNA

He probably is using Double Strike, not Dual Strike. Probably he got the 2 skills confused.

Well, I was just thinking about this idea that what would it be like for a shadow to be 2 handed? :D I also started a char with this talent prespectieve, but my main aim is to get tonns of evade, dodge, and some useful damage :)
