How do I login into a second account if my main account is a steam linked one?

question is in the title.

short background story:

I have an account which is linked to steam (my main account, the one I am posting with)
I now have earned one of the current race rewards. But then again I learned, that these rewards are bound to that very league, and since I pulled them out of the remove-only tab already, I am not able to use this in future leagues. but there would be the opportunity to make a second account, do races, win that rewards again, wait for the new league to be started + 2 weeks, create a character in both accounts in that new league, pull it out of the "remove only" tab, and then trade it (via some buddy of mine) to the character in the new league on my main account.

I think / I hope, that doesn't violate any terms and conditions, but I cannot see a reason why it should.

But now I face the following problem:

when I start PoE through steam, I only have that login via steam button, no login/password field.
If I want to do a second installation via the MSI file I download from this page, I get the message that PoE is already installed somewhere and I have to do a deinstallation of that first in order to install it again.
As a result, this basically causes me not to be able to login into my second account.

And we are back at the question from the title: how can I login to my second account?

You'd need a new Steam account to log in to a different one than the linked PoE account.

Just use the basic (non-Steam) client if you don't want to set up Steam sharing with different logins.

aaah. for some reason there were some dead files left from my before-I-merged-my-account-to-a-steam-account-installation. I deinstalled that, now it installs (the second client then).

I think I will be able to login via this client then. If not, I'll come back here. :)
