Slowpoke's Brimstone Pilgrim ( Melee Staff AoF build)

Hello friends.

Concept was a staff fighting Templar burning foes with fire and brimstone. Build name consists of Brimstone for the fire, and Pilgrim because the staff is a traveler's weapon which is what a pilgrim is. Someone who is traveling toward a destination with a purpose, much like the Templar in the game story. Character is Magneous, which is a combo of Magma and Igneous. I am an RP lite geek in case you can't tell.

This is my third attempt at a Templar and I am pretty new to the game.

Right now I have finished normal and am in The Chamber of Sins 2 (Cruel) at level 43. So I am pretty much doing zones right at level.

Things are going well. Normal was no problem, but tried to tackle Dominus at level 35 and that didn't go well. Also I had a spate of deaths in the upper Scepter of God.

I retooled my tactics, got through, and am cruising through Cruel so far.

This is a fun melee build so I thought I would post it to see what people think.

Brimstone Pilgrim

I am using Sweep with Curse on hit Flammability as a debuff.

I have Molten Shell and Leap Slam linked to blood magic and use them for defense and mobility.

My main attack is Infernal Blow which I have linked to Added Fire Damage, Weapon Elemental Damage, and Item Rarity.

Right now I am using Fire Totem to experiment, which is linked to Chance to Ignite and Increased Critical Strikes.

Also I have Elemental Purity Aura which I run as needed and am toying around using Enduring Cry.

My gear is self found and pretty mediocre. Looking forward to getting better slots etc.

Really enjoying PoE and how deep the skill and gem system is. Thanks to all on this forum who have given good advice and answered questions for me while I was figuring out what kind of Templar I wanted to play.
