Grips, Hilts and Shafts for two handed melee weapons.

Two handed weapons could benefit much like bows if they had a Grip (mace/axe/sword), Hilt (sword), or Shafts (axe/mace) item to equip in the secondary slot. Like quivers these items would have no slots and have basic mods: ACC, Elemental damage, Stun duration/threshold etc. with magic and rare adding appropriate mods such as %damage/acc/atk speed and the like. I do not know if it would be too hard to code in individual items for each weapon type (and prevent abuse of crossing over a Hilt onto an axe) as I have listed but this could bring a little more love in for the two-handed melee users out there.

This is a really good idea! I like it a lot myself. It makes sense as quivers add that little bonus, so a hilt/shaft/grip could do the same for melee 2h weapons.

Doesn't make much sense in the reality factor, though. I mean, those are already attached to the weapon, so having a separate item for it is kind of silly. Maybe sheaths, instead? Some sort of holster for maces, or a lanyard?

I'm sure you could make them interchangeable in a way. I do like the sheath's idea as well. For axe/mace/staff you can interchange a grip on the shaft of the weapon pretty easily. A hilt on the other hand for a sword wouldn't be as easy/plausible. You can't just rip off your hilt and throw on a new one without doing some pretty hefty blacksmith work on it. This is were sheaths would come into play. They would act as the bonus to the weapon. As well giving you a badass looking sheath if GGG implemented it.
