Fairgraves Chitus Plum Quest bug

I did the quest and got the reward, but the Chitus Plum is stuck in my inventory.

What do? :)
What reward do you think you got for the plum?

It's only half of the quest items you need to finish the quest. Did you get the other one and talk to the NPC you needed to?

Act 3 Quest: A Swig of Hope

1. Complete the Act 1 Quest: The Marooned Mariner.
2. Retrieve the Decanter Spiritus from the Ornate Chest in The Marketplace.
3. Retrieve Chitus' Plum from the Hedge Maze.
4. Return to The Docks and give both items to Captain Fairgraves.

As a reward, Captain Fairgraves will give you a choice of Flasks, Amulets or Rings.

you have to complete fairgraves in act 1 to finish the quest in act 3.

Then, it definitely sounds like you've found a bug.

Since I'm not a dev or forum moderator, this is what I would do:

  • Check your Quest Log. Double-check that The Marooned Mariner quest in Act 1 and A Swig of Hope quest in Act 3 are marked as completed. (Just to be sure).
  • While you're in town, open your Inventory and see if you can drop the Plum to "destroy" it. (I'm not sure this can be done with quest items, but I'd try it anyway).
  • Take the Waypoint back to The Docks. Confirm that Captain Fairgraves and his ship are no longer there. (Captain Fairgraves is always located near The Docks Waypoint, so this should be easy to do).
  • Once you have confirmed that the quest has definitely been completed, contact GGG at support@grindinggear.com and give them the details. Maybe they will be able to remove the Plum from your Character's Inventory.

Other than that, I don't know what else to tell you.

Also make sure you don't have the plum from another difficulty level.

If Fairgraves is still at the docks, you haven't completed the quest yet.
