Rain of Arrows and Point Blank

I heard it works together no matter from which distance the skill is used, cause in case of RoA PB takes the centre of the AoE as the attacker position.
Is this (still) the case? Does Point Blank make sense with RoA for that matter? Last bumped on Apr 20, 2016, 12:22:27 AM

RoA works with PB just as any other Projectile Attack, it's damage is reduced the further the targets are away.
For calculations, the distance between you and the center of RoA is taken. Sorry Exile, but your loot is in another dungeon!

The distance used is the distance between the user of the skill and each target hit.

i Would like to ask, when linked to a Trap (support gem), the AOE will always be +50% for point blank? or from is calculated from the position that u threw the trap?
