Life Leech on Lightning Strike with claws.

I've been planning my build as a life leech strength character who uses primarily Lightning Strike with claws as my weapon of choice for the passive leech's.

My question is: If I use claws and the passives like Soul Raker. And then, I grab Iron Grip to increase the damage of Lightning Strike's projectiles. Will Iron Grip give my projectiles the claws life leech bonus from Soul Raker?

Iron Grip increases "projectile attack damage" so it effects lightning strike.
Lightning Strike does 50% lightning, 50% physical damage.
Life Leech, unless obtained from the support gem, only effects physical damage.
So yes, it would, however, LS will be halving the amount of life you gain compared to a pure physical attack.

If you want leech from your lighting, link it with life leech gem.

Unlike the life leech mod that is found on gear, the life leech this gem provided works with any damage type, not just physical. However, it does not cause damage over time effects to leech life. The life leeched is returned at a maximum rate of 20% of your maximum life per second. Improving gem quality increases the life gain rate.

And Iron Grip takes the physical damage bonus from strength and applies it to projectiles. So, this takes the damage bonus, but not the damage type is what you're saying?
