Life Leech Cap ! How to calculate ?

Hi,
i want find out my lifeleech-cap. How many Lifeleech in % is cap fo me ?

I heard about 20% of my max Life can be Leeched with my physical dmg ( per Second ? per hit ?).

1. Where is my pure physical dmg listed ?
2. whats is "combined" Damage ?
3. whats the exact calculat for max Lifeleec ?


For my char :

I used a two-handed Axe
max Life : 4252
Mainhand Lifeleech : 5%
Mainhand Physical Damage : 1114 - 2136 <- is this for calculate ?
100% chance to hit

1.press c check main hand physical damage (click the skill icons above to check skill damage)
2.combined damage = physical damage + all kind of elemental damage
3.The rate of life gained from life leech is 20% of maximum life per second.

Interesting question.

You can leech 20% of your maximum life per second, if you overcap it, you'll have regeneration after you stop hitting.

So, with your 4200 life, maximum that you can leech (per second) is 840 life.

Is your leech from the items or is it the Life Leech gem? Because, Life Leech gem makes you leech the elemental damage (Hatred, Anger, or just elemental damage from items).

If it's 5% physical leech, than you'd need 16800 pDPS dealt to the enemy in order to provide your full leech of 840 per second.
I've said dealt to the enemy (because there are resistances, armoured enemies, etc.), so your tooltip DPS should be somewhat higher, over 20k to be a bit more sure that you're doing it right.

I have no LL-gem. Its all about skill and items. my DPS on my Double-Strike is nearly 23K in City BUT there is lieghtningdmg on my Axe and thats the problem how many phys dps i do ?

Second screenshot is not working.

But as we can see in the first SC, your ele DPS is somewhat 35% of the total DPS.

Therefore, your total pDPS is somewhat 16k, which is not good enough, as you'd need to deal 16.8k DPS in order to get full life leech per second.

You either need more DPS or more leech.

can you perhaps explain how you calculate the physical dps?
I dont know how many phys or ele dmg the combined dmg consist off?

When you look at the tooltip dps of the skill, it will have x - y physical damage. Take the average of that (x + y) / 2. Then multiply that by your attacks per second to get your average physical dps.
