GGG should disable alt+f4 nor esc+log off escape

So how would you log out?

Chris has talked about why they don't have a delay, also (which would be the suggestion to stop logging out). When you have an online game with things that are out if the player's control, you kind of need to have the ability to log out. A HC character shouldn't have to die from a sudden latency flatline, or a bad desync.

If somebody chooses to alt f4 due to their own mistakes, that is their issue, not the game's.

It's an explicitly designed feature. End of story.

Being able to instantly logout makes the game less frustrating (you don't have to die to desync) and more fun (you can play more risky). Keeping it in the game is the right decision, GGG shouldn't remove it just to cater to some insecure softcore players.

Also, the boss fights are designed with that in mind as a failsafe. If you don't use it, you're gimping yourself.

Maybe GGG should just code something in that the game crashes the moment you're significantly out of sync. Heh.

A 1-key logout (to be on par with esc->exit macros, eew autohotkey) might be nice. idk if I would use it. That will always feel dirty to me.

They clearly feel strong about it being in there, though. Can't expect that to change :).
