Templar Blood Magic Wander

Hey all.

While seeing some of the other popular wand builds out there, including Kripp's OB wander, I am wondering why more wanders don't go Blood Magic? As Kripp notes, hes very squishy currently even as he approaches level 70 with good gear. Wouldn't it be better to put more passive point into life/life regen/resistances, and drop the whole shield into EB mechanic?

For something that would be possible in the next few weeks, something like this.

~Level 69 or less depending on bandit quests.

This way you wouldn't have to worry about mana/ mana regen anything at all, and just go for life/life regen/ leach / on hit / and what not. The rush to items would be BM, 1 of the wand rings up the tree, and then Iron Grip.

For my max level (way down the road ~100 when we can) I would possibly end up with something like

One word: Auras.

as a templar, you basically have 2 main choices for mana management: Blood Magic or EB (Eldritch battery). If you take BM, you go down into the marauder tree and pick up tons of life nodes, life regen, etc... which is great for survivability. Eldritch Battery, on the other hand, allows you to run 8-10 auras at the same time, which you cannot do with Blood Magic.

EB works like that because auras reserve a certain % of your mana. It doesn't matter if you have a small/large mana pool, it'll still reserve the same percentage. However, with EB, the additional mana converted from your Energy Shield doesn't "count" as mana. Read that again. When the auras calculate what % of your mana to reserve, they IGNORE the mana converted from your Energy Shield. So the auras will only reserve from your mana pool, and leave your Energy Shield pool alone. This way you can run 8-10 auras and still have shitloads of mana to use for your skills.

:) I hope that makes sense.
