How to: Exalt items correct?

Hi, quite new into this game and trying to get more into deep.
Trying now to get some info when it is worth to EXALT items. In my opinion it seems logical to exalt, if I use already some good rares, or know I ll use them for a long time, because any upgrade will be very expensive and they don't have 6 affixes Not sure if, but am I correct: - Any rare item can get 6 affixes? Or is there a minimum itemlevel to have for the possibility to have 6 affixes on it? - Depending on the itemlevel, exalting it can give me max 60 life,80, 100 and so on as affix? Pretty sure I ll use this items for a longer time. so for me it would make sense to exalt them or? greetings |

Just my opinion, but it's never worth just exalting something.
You can eternal + exalt something if there are one or two affixes you need to make the item godly. Other than that, it's best to keep your exalts to trade with. Dont exalt those, you can buy way better items with an exalt than the ones you have linked.

Mhm, sry i do not get it really.
why should not the armor be worth to exalt it? think it is a very good 5L armor? And: What is worth to exalt? greetings |

" For me it's only worth exalting something if it is so good that you cannot buy a piece of better gear for ~20-25ex or less. But I don't like gambling... if you like gambling then it may be more worth it for you ("crafting" is a misleading term... it's gambling).
