Dual Wield and Sword Nodes stack?

So I'm planning on dual wielding swords, so if I take the bonuses on the tree for dual wield bonuses AND sword bonuses, they stack with each other right?
Yes, it should stack properly if you are duel-wielding two swords you will get the bonuses for both duel-wield and sword skills.
I read somewhere that if you dual wielded swords, and you take sword passives, or 1 handed passives, you'd get double effect cuz you get the passive for each hand. can anyone comfirm this?

but then if thats the case, wouldnt dual wield passives would apply to both weapons, so it would end up being the same except dual wield passives require you to have 2 weapons in hand in order to get it, while sword doesnt.

so what would be better to prioritize? dual wield or sword/1handed passives? especially if they do the same stat.

also another reason why you'd skip dual wield and just get sword/1handed is that you can have a sword and board in your back up just incase,

and dual wield seems more superior if you plan to do different weapon choices. like if you wanted to do sword and axe, or axe and mace, or claw and dagger. also the dual wield blocking, but other than that, if you want pure damage, and your dead set on just a specific weapon, it seems like getting the weapon nodes are better than the dual wielding nodes. just so that your more versitile on how you play

any opinions on this?

I don't believe that 1-hand passives apply twice when dual wielding. They will be twice as effective because you are doing twice the damage with dual strike.

The nice thing about the 1-hand and dual wield passives is you can switch out a sword for a nice axe if you find one.
Build the tree out as if you weren't sword specific, getting all of the sword bonuses last. Having access to axes will pay off when playing through.

These skills arent doubled unless you use dual strike. I'm not sure how attack speed plays into your normal attacks while dual wielding.

Oh crap, I was going to get both (Saving the duel wield nodes till last).

They should stack, as far I can tell 4% from one handed sword nodes will apply to the weapon you're hitting with at the time (When you use a skill or auto attack you alternate which weapon you attack with, so you wouldn't get 8% increase) however what would that mean for dual strike?
