Do one hand skills work with Dual wielding?
I've been working on a Duelist and getting only one hand skills so far in order to wait until I decide if I want to dual wield or go with Sword and Shield--- but with all the skills I'm seeing, I'm sorta getting the feel that these skills only apply if I'm just using a single weapon (the other being a shield/empty). The reason I'm getting this feel is because on top of having all these rather large bonuses for one handed bonuses, there's also a ton of large bonuses for dual wielding.
Would someone inform me as to how this works so I know if I need to start over or not? |

If you're talking about passive skills, then no the one hand passives do not work with dual wielding.

" That's not true, one handed passive skills do apply to dual wielding. Alteration Orb Union Local #7

" I disagree, I was curious about this as well so I experimented with my duel wielding shadow. One key thing you have to remember is that dual wielding is essentially using one handed weapons, but in each hand. So based on this I noted my damage prior to selecting a one handed damage boost passive, selected it, then noticed my damage after. Guess what?...it increased!!! So I think that is evidence that it does work. Try it for yourself |

So I'm good then? That's a relief. I was really upset at the thought of having to rethink my build a bunch when he said that D:

" Thank you for correcting me. I thought I remembered reading somewhere that this wasn't the case. I probably dreamed it up. Damn, this changes a lot of things for me now. " Sorry about scaring you like that. I was so sure I was right. Last edited by Berserkering#6225 on Jan 25, 2013, 3:38:19 AM
