Well that is really odd... that error should only come up when the required dlls are missing. If you've properly installed those files, then they shouldn't show up as missing and that error shouldn't happen. Are you running as administrator (right-click and select "Run as Administrator")? Something is up with your PC configuration then.. this is not a common problem and I've never really seen it come up before where DX was already properly installed. I'm afraid I've got nothing more to suggest short of formatting and re-installing your PC/OS. It's complaining about the DX dlls because it can't find them for some reason. I don't know what that reason is. I don't think it is a Path of Exile specific issue however as this should affect more things that rely on the same version of DirectX to be installed (DirectX version 9). Wish I could help you more, but I just can't think of any other reason it wouldn't find them except not being there (which you've re-ran already and installed). Let us know if you ever figure it out.
