which armor should I equip

Hi guys, I am new to Path of Exile and currently playing a marauder. I am wondering which chestplate I should equip out of the 2 because both look like they have very good stats. Kaom's drops in normal now?
Or is there a mini-version available? Use whichever one you want but notice the top one has more armor. This can be useful, however resists can also be important. |

Kaoms is map only or chanceable last I heard but...
you could trade for one. Crafting doesn't exist in POE. Gambling does...and the house always wins.

Since it seems you've taken a lot of passives that add to resistance. I would take the one with higher armor. As you get better gear that caps your resists, you'll probably want to respec out of a lot of those single element resist nodes.

Thank you for replying to my post so quickly. Right now I have a question based on the posts I received, What is a kaom? Also, I thought the bottom one is good because of the 22% armor rating and the 1.4 life regeneration which the top one does not have, does that makes any difference to which armor I should pick or should I still pick the top armor?

" The 22% increased armor is only affecting the base armor of that chest piece. You see how the number for the armor value is blue? That is the already modified value. It is not modifying your entire armor value by 22%. Therefore, the top chest still has more armor, even without that mod. Also, 1.4 life regen is basically nothing. You might as well just ignore it. You would be better to focus on +life instead, as you always get more bang for your buck. Since increasing your max HP, increases your total regen based on the % regen you have from passives. lol you still have a long way to go. Kaom's is a legendary plate in this game. extremely expensive and rare. in fact i believe you have not reached the stage where you seriously think about whether this game is for you. I suggest you just play things and learn along the way. there is too much for us to explain to you here.
Armor and hp affect your defences very differently in this game. I suggest you read the wiki on armor in POE. Yeah there is really too many complicated stuff in this game. It is even more complicated than Diablo 2 |

At the stage of the game you're at, it really doesn't matter all that much. I'd go with either until I found one clearly better.
