Passive Skill Tree: Search Function
Hi, all - I apologize if this idea has been posted recently.
(I did a search for this, and nothing recent popped up... I did see a similar post from early last year. But I have no idea if the forum search results show up in time order.) Is it possible to embed some kind of drop down menu on the Passive Skill Tree on the website that includes all attributes attainable (e.g., Attack Speed, Attack Damage, Swords, Bows, Mana, Health, etc.) so that way players can select one of the attributes on the drop down menu and the corresponding nodes are highlighted? For example, if I wanted to look up nodes related to Attack Speed, I could select it from the drop down menu which would either highlight all the Attack Speed related nodes on the skill tree (or grey out nodes unrelated to Attack Speed). Or, for another example, if I wanted to look up skills related to Resistance boosts, I could select it from the drop down menu which would highlight all the Resistance related skill choices (or grey out nodes unrelated to Resistances). I'd suggest this for the in-game UI, but I am not sure how unwieldy it might be to embed a drop down menu onto the Passive Skill Tree in-game. Additionally (and I know this gets mentioned a lot), I would definitely throw my vote into the movement for displaying current bonuses from skill choices on the skill tree somewhere easy to find on the UI for reference. Thank you for reading. This thread has been automatically archived. Replies are disabled.

I definitely agree with these suggestions. Currently, navigating the Passive Skill Map is a bit harder than I think it has to be.

" Thanks for the support! I really do feel like this simple addition (even if it is only to the website) would help players (especially new players) with identifying regions of the tree that they would like to build toward and plan accordingly. With enough effort, looking at the skill tree as it is now, it is already possible to plan well, but this addition would definitely make it easier to navigate for newer players. |

Thank you for the addition of the highlighting feature on the Skill Tree on the website. :) Very handy, and I'm sure many people will find it incredibly useful.
Also, the addition of shortest paths is great! (Not sure if it was always there, but I don't remember seeing it before) |

They should certainly implement this in-game.
It's much of a hassle having to alt-tab to your browser just to search for a certain skill, especially when your rig ain't built for gaming. |
