Appearance change idea.

idea for GGG:
What if you could change your character appearance?

So for example, you want to start as a marauder but you wanna use the templar model or the ranger, for example, just buy an "appearance change" or something like that and you now can pick a different character model for you.
I think it's easy to implement and i can see lots of people willing to buy this, me included.

1000x yes, this is exactly what the game needs right now.

I vote for getting rid of the association between the character models and class altogether, but barring that, just allow us to choose the model to go with our class! Even if it costs!
This seems like a good way to approach character customization without having a "character creation." It should be something in the shop to help fuel the game since it would have no real influence on your game other than cosmetic appearance. I hope future shop changes will be sex, skin color, hair color, model size, etc. Even add new models unavailable from start, perhaps even monster models? Zombie, skeleton, etc.

Some could argue that restricting the character you start with allows pvp players to get a general idea about what the other person will be doing based on starting character model though.

I've really felt that character appearance customization is the biggest thing missing. 80% (that's a well calculated number j/k) of this game is about character customization, except for appearance.

As far as pvp players wanting to know what kind of players they are up against, that's not much of a big deal. You can usually get some idea from their weapons, other equipment, & class (which is usually displayed with an icon or even text above the character). That aside, not knowing what your up against doesn't unbalance it any, because the opponent is in the same boat. Besides there are many pvp games that have appearance customization & it doesn't hurt the gameplay experience; just adds a different element that can be adapted to & also encourages more strategic & thoughtful playing, instead of bum rushing (if confident in your strengths & their potential weaknesses) as soon as you see the opponent.
