vendor buy back option

Oops, I just sold that new rare I found, damn it, lost forever!

Oh, no, wait, there's that tab in the vendor that show me the last 20 things I sold, WHEW! that's a relief!
Lucky I remembered before I lodged off, because it's wiped when I leave the game.

Thoughts?

not possible with current currency (curry) solution, so it's a no go. you can sell "sets" of items to get a one better currency item. how would buy back work in such case?

Simple, the game remembers what you received for the trade, and allows you to reverse that.

I am specifically talking about gear, like a rare set of boots, in which case that transaction is retained in a short history of recent transactions.

And as for commodities, I think that aspect needs work too

Yea it's possible (though the recipes make it a bit trickier.. eg if you sold stuff for alteration shards and the shards already combined then the buyback would have to break apart the alteration orb), and I would like it added... never sold anything I didn't mean to but you never know...

Because the vendors have to have a profit margin or they'd go out of business.

That needs to somehow be implemented. Some time ago I sold my 15% spark by mistake. And what about that guy who vendored his kaom's heart...

strange not to have buy-back option in a-lot-of-trade game

my mind came to a dirty fix: just put any spare gem in valuable item and you'll get cant-miss-warning when you about to vendor it.

Wow, lots of really old threads being bumped today.

Slow down, don't control click everything like you're in a vendor speed race, click sell without checking you're selling what you want and it won't happen.

Buyback should not and cannot exist.
