Maligaro's spike unremovable from inventory

I just killed Weaver and found the spike. But now it is clottering up my inventory, and I have no idea what to use it for.

Why can't I put it in my stash untill i need it to progress?

Just do the quest that uses it, it barely uses space anyway.

I think what he's trying to suggest is that quest items such as the Maligaro's Spike, Baleful Gem, Medicine Chest etc. should be removable from the inventory to save space until he finds a use for it.

y even if i get it now i dont see any reason to do like that. Reason is still the same, capacity of inventory is connect between player and difficulty and quests are storylike so it wont happen that u have 6 quest items in your stash. If u have extra stash tab for Q items it can just broke story lane, it will happen that u will have completed 9 quests and then u will just go to talk with npcs that will reward u for that, no its not good idea. U have maligaro spike there and it should blocking your stash because u just need to find tree and poison it, after that u can quest again, its easy and it has positive function.

Yes, agree, would be ok to put them in a stash but it could mess the quests if another character would pick them from the stash.
I think, the 'Spike' its the only larger quest item you carry around for a while. Maybe make it smaller 1x1 ? Mini spike :)

Sorry if I was unclear. Quickly wrote it down so i could get back to the game!

reitaaaxD got it right. It simply irritated me that I suddenly had such a big quest item in my inventory. My first playthrough, so I had no idea how to trigger the quest to get rid of it. I did not even have the Baleful Gem yet (I went all the way west before doing anything else).

It's not a big problem on a second playthrough, I'll just hold off killing the weaver, but it was my first irritating moment since I started playing, so I wrote it here.

Now, solutions: I can see the potential problem of another character picking it up from the stash, I did not think of that. Making it smaller, as missmisiowa suggests, could work. A 1x1 is much less irritating.

But in the end it is a minor problem. I just did not realize the problem with making it possible to stash it (other characters picking it up), so thanks for pointing that out.

Other games (like Rift) make quest items part of the quest log itself THUS not taking up any inventory space. The quest logs HOLD the quest items, a smart move in my opinion. Not hard to implement.
