PoE with Gamepad - better then XPadder or Key2Joy!

Hi there,

since i played D3 on the PS3, i love to play H&S with Gamepad.

My mainproblem with H&S + Gamepad on the PC was the movement.
You have to hold the stick in the direction you want to move AND press a button...
I dont like that!
I want to put the stick in a direction and i want my char to move in that direction (without pressing any buttons).

And after searching, i found a programm called "D3Gamepad".

This Programm in original written for D3.
But it also works with PoE.

It does exactly the same thing that XPadder and other Key-to-Gamepad-Software does, but it has a special function.
It lets u move without pressing buttons.

Simply set the Hotkey for a Skill ingame to "B" (because B is Keyboard-Move in D3).
Set ingame the "Move-only" to that Skill...

And now u can move with the stick...
You have to chance some settings like deathzone, radius and position, but it works fantastic!

Beside that, that software is for D3-Hotkeys. So u have to change a lot of hotkeys ingame, because the d3gamepad-software is not very flexible with hotkeys, because it is fixed for D3...
But u can change the hotkeys ingame, no problem...:-)

For example: T = Townportal in D3 / D3Gamepad
I used it for Flask 5 (setting ingame hotkey for flask5 to T)

It takes a bit of time to understand the problem, but you can use modifications (for your Pad-triggers and many cool things to let PoE runs very very good with a gamepad!)

I you like, give in a try!
It must not be installed, it is a simple File, just start the file.

I Viruschecked it and found nothing. It is a serious software.
(I used it in D3 as well).

In an other thread about gamepad, a mod says that you can not be banned for useing a software like that.
It doesnt change anything in the client, it doesnt automatic anything.
The only thing it does is let you play with a gamepad.

I've been wanting to try path of exile like this too since i tried D3 on my ps3 from my living room couch!

what do you do when there are 4 enemies on screen?

1 upper left corner,
1 upper right
1 lower left
1 lower right

Assume you have a skill that needs perfect lock on (single target explode arrw for instance)
With my mouse I can kill both in under 3 sec, average gamer I think.

With my gamepad, it would take me I guess 4 minutes.

Don't have console versions snap-on and a% reduced gamespeed to counter for the delay in stick control.


Don't get me wrong! I play console as well, I played unreal tournament on PS and PC... The PC version has faster pace no doubt.


I play battlefield on pc and I use mouse+keypad combo, for planes I switch to gamepad.

ofc keyboard mouse is much faster and more accurate, no one would argue that i believe.
With gamepad though game feels different.
I never liked D3 on pc, but on ps3 i enjoyed it nice and casually.

As i said, if you try it with a 3rd party software there will be issues like the one you described, in which case some short of auto aiming would be needed, thats why GGG should do it instead :)

It doesnt work well with any skills, but i like it sometimes for farming, because its relaxing...:-)

thanks for the recommendation. Just like the guy mentioned earlier, play with a pad is relaxing. Never a bad thing to be relaxed.

I would like to play POE with xbox controller

with xpadder u can easily play poe iwth xbox controller

a cyclone build works easily with it

but u are too far from tv and cant see exatly wich items are dropping
