Adding a filter to chat to ignore msgs with defined strings
|
Hi GGG. I really enjoy playing this game, it think its very well thought out and has heaps of re-playability.... The bad part is, like any MMO with chat there are unscrupulous players who try to make real money from selling in-game items. These players spam chat and make the whole "talking to other players" unachievable. I would really like to be able to filter out messages that contain certain words or phrases. I know that I can simply ignore the spamming player but there seem to be multiple accounts all logged in at once, and I cant play the game if I am always ignoring players with names like @tknkgzsfvndfku Thanks, Matt. There are 10 types of people. Those that know binary, and those that dont.

"You know I was talking to some folks in global a couple hours ago and they said I should post up my idea about being able to /filter (line of text) so any chat that contains those specific letters ignores the entire message, that way bots that simply make multiple character but spam the same websites would all be blocked with the first /filter command rather than having to ignore a new bot every few minutes. |
