monster-specific drop list
|
Each enemy could have it own drop list including gem, item (rarity and quantity), slot chance, link chance etc
Monster Affix would add item to the base monster droplist. Multiple projectile monster could drop LMP for example Leap slam would appear in Goatman and Oak droplist with a higher drop rate than bear or monkey Boss could have a very low chance (.01%?) to drop their unique skill (Piety's lightning ball, Brutus' grab, Vaal lazer etc) So if I hope to get GMP I would need to find an enemy shooting multiple projectile, maybe piety misscreation or the strange bird-like creature in the scepter of god This thread has been automatically archived. That would force players to play a certain way IE "If you want this item, you have to continually farm this area/kill this boss.
|

" That would ALLOW player to play in a different way. Currently when you wish to obtain an item you can trade for it... that's it. With enemy-specific droplist you could still trade to obtain item you are looking for OR Try to farm zone where enemy can drop what you are looking for. It wouldn't change the gameplay too much and wouldn't really affect player that aren't interessed in this. |

" For things like vanity items its one thing but when its boss-specific gear that affects gameplay ie usable equip/spells that people would incorporate into builds it does force them. What many people fail to realize is that this is part of the game and people have to deal with RNG drops. If you want to kill a boss for a drop go play an MMO. |

" Actually, no.. What the OP is suggesting isn't a guaranteed drop like in the case of raids, but a higher drop chance of specific items from specific bosses.. This would actually be good.. In Diablo 2, this was present with the concept of treasure classes, and monster drop probabilities.. For example, hunting Nightmare andariel for Stone of Jordan.. It is a good idea, and I would like to see this implemented too.. |
