Npc follower?

I did not saw any in the videos.

Is there something like that?

i haven't seen anything like the mercs from d2. and i dont think ive read anything on the matter so maybe someone whom knows if they plan to add them in could tell us ^^

Honestly, I would rather not. More to manage, more to balance... maybe in an expansion later. If you want support, you should be forced to be social and invite the appropriate class or be a summoner.

I don't think there are any plans to add mercs. At least not anytime before release.

Actually i dont want an usuall npc like in d2.

Dont like the dog in the torchlight except it was usefull to sell items.Since this game dont have gold this is useless too.

I want someting more like a spiritual guide.Dont have any hp ,so dont dies. Maybe i should suggest this.

Equipping mercs in D2 was the most annoying thing ever, IMO. Generally what people would do was create a second build for the merc that made it into a meatshield since they were usually too dumb to be very effective on their own. I'd rather just focus on building defensive stats for my own character so as to not needlessly complicate things, or have summons with static stats.

Dont know them, the thing in my mind was someting giving pasive or auras.
And side-misions to upgrade.
And even alternative ways to finish quest.
Example: You need to slay a boss. But talking to this spirit it suggest you find an item that can capture the beast.
And even this can have consuquences like that monster later escapes from that artifact and comes again to hunt you with extrem power from the corrupted artifact.
