does Jeweller’s orb only can use once on unique item?

i tried to use Jeweller’s orb to an unique item called Last Resort, and it said failed to apply,Make sure that its the right type..... And i used it on this item once before and then it didn;t work.

Make sure it's unequipped and has no Gems in it.

If it has the max number of sockets for it's item level, a jeweler's orb will fail.

Last Resort, being a claw weapon, can have a max of 3 sockets. 3 sockets requires a minimum item level of 15. To check the item level, click on the item to "pick it up" with your cursor, then type /itemlevel in the chat window.

It will also fail if the item already has the maximum number of sockets it can get.
