How do some people lvl SO FAST?
Hey guys, just wondering.. How the hell did the people in the HC Event lvl up so quick? I'm new to POE only played for a few days now so I'm not participating in the event, but on my Default League character I've only managed to get to lvl 24 ish in 3 days lol I'm not even out of the first difficulty yet :O
From what I can see though, loads of people are lvl 50+ in the race which has only been up for less than 48 hours lol One guy is lvl 69! How is this possible? Is there something I'm missing here? INGAME: Savanity Last edited by Derity#5369 on Dec 25, 2012, 9:16:14 AM

thare are many tricks to it.
knowing the content is a big part of how people power level so fast, knowing whare to level grind and how to advnace quickly helps alot. also understanding how the item's work help's to since they can build te right amount of tank / dps onto a character for cheap. Also keep in mind most of the people who are top of the leader board know thare character and build like the back of thar hand. Also having a good understanding of how to get , and run maps for max EXP is very helpfull. Just a sec let me grab a beer...@#*@ Ok how did I die this time
Learn the rules, it's the only way to exploit them. |

well if you check out kripps stream or some of his videos you can see how in depth they have planned everything (sharing quest rewards, when to split the group and not, which zones give best xp).

Kripps youtube-channel can also be helpful

Well... I'd rather not just link you to that kripp guy, but he has the finer points down. Maintain efficiency, kill only the valuable mobs, pick which quests to ignore and which ones not to, zigzag properly between the east and west arcs of act 2. Of course, other people have other methods. There's also groups, and the whole "More than one char" thing in the Xp equations.
Then there's planning to a build specific level, i.e. quest reward choices, sustainability, passive skill tree order, hell, some people also plan for their gear. Last edited by Crossflip#2982 on Dec 25, 2012, 10:22:15 AM

You just have to keep playing and find the best route that suits your leveling style.

The key to leveling quick is to play the game. Your first character could take you a week to reach level 50 with, but once you know the quests, know the items, know the mechanics and have a strategy, you can go from 1 to 40~ in a day; 1 to 30 at least, in a single play session of 3 or so hours.
Once you know how to play the game, you know when it's safe to play risky and draw a whole slew of monsters to kill with aoe attacks. You also know when to skip content. Like prison 2? That place is deadly as hell (enfeeble, freeze/chill and shock, plus necros) and in a level race of any kind you should just simply skip it. Kill speed is too slow for the XP and you could very well die due to a string of criticals. Another good place to just run through and not fight any of the monsters if Sins 3 and at least some of the Ancient Pyramid and Waterfall cave. Dark Forest can sometimes be skippable if there are lots of puncture enemies around. My Keystone Ideas: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/744282

Also, remember that there's a difference between racing through all the content as fast as possible and simply playing through and enjoying all the content.
