Flasks! (Ruby, Topaz..other)

I was reading somewhere that the run increase ones (when used) can get these and certain acts are better to use ruby for etc....any input?

but still not a replacement for a good Res Flask, considering the +10% maximum.

And what acts need what resist? I know I should go all out but new character -.-

I think you will find your just better off trying to get enough resists from your passives and gear right away when building a new character,

the flasks, at least as i see them are more for when you get stuck in a spot with hard ele damage of a certain type you just cant get past....

your far better off relying on having resists and armour/ev from passives and gear as a standpoint and then using these flasks as a helping hand on harder end game areas/maps with a particular elemental mod

at least that how i go about it.......

you play Nemesis so it's a bit tricky (example: a sudden Storm Herald in a fire-themed area). but basically act 1 is more about cold damage, act 2 is about Chaos, fire and a zone I despise (Chamber Of Sins) packed with shock-stacking lightning damage, and act 3 has all of the above, but lightning is probably the most dangerous.

try to carry around all possible pure-resistance flasks you find in inventory, just in case.
you can use a Quicksilver like I linked, for most usual threats, then pop the pure-resists ones for big battles with a certain theme.
for example, Ruby Flask for General Gravicius.

If your resists are fairly high (60+) you don't have to worry too much about the flasks... I always carry (at least) one mov speed flask or one of those:

In Docks a Ruby flask can be good to protect you from LMP voidbearers. Potentially a Chaos resist one for the Sewers (LMP Chaos alchemists).

I wish I could carry a topaz flask with me at all times to protect me from those storm heralds in nemesis, but there's no space. So try to get a dispel shock mod on one of your life flasks.
