I tend to wonder why people rage quit.

I do feel them in a way, as I do share that feeling of your build being destroyed or desync killing you is very griefing.

But you know what? I still play PoE, although I dont like many aspects of the game, such as.

1. forums with nerf bridgade
2. people that rage quit due to nerfs.
3. people who are against people that plays softcore
4. people who are against alt+f4.
5. that OP builds still exist and builds that are just popular gets nerfed more often
6. that game balance keeps changing every week= have to make new characters every week or every month.
7. how you have to spend a lot of time grinding same areas that is common to rpg.
8. desyncs that cause death
9. people who defend ggg all the time and dont see any flaws in games or game mechanics.
10. how devs seem to make OP items though they tend to dislike Op characters.


But I will still play this game, because I know one day there will be more cool stuff, and that is only thing I am optimistic about, that it's not like torchlight II where devs just made it and left it for people to mod it.

Have any proof that people actually quit? I think the complainers are mostly just mule accounts of people trying to manipulate GGG into making decisions they want.

Many of my friends who played power siphon build/ RoA build/ Lightning Arrow Build, Ek Build, Freezing Pulse Build quit because they didn't want to spend 100s of hours remaking things, and I am kind of alone now because people i hanged out with quit due to game balance changes and moved on to games like LoL or Diablo 3 or Dota 2.

It kind of sucks that they tell me to play games I don't want to play or say things like "are you still playing Path of Exile?"

Live and let live. I never campaign for ruining other people's builds. I never ask to fix something that's not broken. I just play the game, cause I love it. I'll keep playing til the nerf brigade wins, til the game stops being fun and build I spent months doing gets broken cause some whiny kid on the forum asked for it.

I hope the game will only get better. More content. More fun skills. Stop nerfing and start adding. Give us more skills, not less. Give us more builds to try, not less.

I guess i am weird one that still plays after all that you talked about happend.

Because they can't farm and sell stuff on e-bay effectively.

Still play the game even though it's annoying that your exp falls to 0% from 90%.

Its a game that I enjoy.

I'm a lot like you OP. I keep playing despite all the things that irritate me. However, a LOT of people don't. None of the people I played with in OB are still around and the two people I got to try the game at release have already left due to many of the issues brought up here all the time (desync, drop rates, 1-shot mechanics, exp loss, etc etc). I guess I just see the great game underneath all the flaws.
