Leap Slam won't let me jump

I think I am doing something wrong. But often my Leap Slam either doesn't work or makes me jump very short.
It is always when I hit mobs. At first I am jumping along happily, getting my well-deserved speed increase, and then I, accidentally hit a mob or group of mobs, and then Leap Slam either just lets me jump up and down in pretty much the same place, or it won't let me jump anywhere at all (and yes, I am immune to stun, and I am not frozen).
What class are you playing?

Are you switching weapons? It only works with certain types.
Arguing on the Internet: What's the point when you can't punch them in the face when they really piss you off?
1) You have a mob selected. Make sure to hover your mouse to an empty space to unselect mobs, otherwise leap slam will keep bouncing on the same place over and over.

2) Make sure you have "line of sight" on the place you want to leap to. Obstacles, doorways etc can stop your journey abruptly otherwise.
I play a ranger

I am not switching weapon. I am using a two-handed sword.

My mouse is at all times at the far end of the screen as it is required to make the longest jumps. So unless the mouse cursor for some reason changes it place, then that is where it should be.

And yeah, I know about the line of sight. And that HAS been a problem sometimes too - but not in the cases I describe here.

Well there's your problem right there. Play a Mara, white boys and girls can't jump.

LOL! Of course!
I have tested it, and the mouse cursor definitely stays at the far side of the screen, but I just keep jumping up and down in the same place (right on top of the mobs).

The part about not being able to jump at all, MAY be due to some more or less invisible blocked path. Because sometimes it helps to move the mouse a bit, then after a while I can jump again. But I can't see anything that should blocked my path.

Moving the mouse does not help when it comes to jumping up and down in the same place. Then I have to move away from the mobs, and then I can jump again (if I am not dead by then)
The problem is most likely what Burgingham state in 1). If you accidentally select a mob and held the skill button down the entire time, you'll jump to that mob and only that mob. Doesn't matter if you move the mouse or not.
Ah OK. I missed what he was trying to say. Yeah, that could be it (and most likely is)
