Cast when stunned instead of damage taken?

Hey, I'm kinda new to PoE and don't really know how stuns work in this game. I've never felt like I got stunned or that I stunned a monster so i'm not sure what a stun is in this game.

But wouldn't it be good to for example like cast when stunned to molten shell after the nerf to codt? Or are stuns something that doesn't happen often?
If you have Unwavering Stance or extremely high health, Cast when Stunned isn't useful.
Stuns are when you interrupt or get interrupted.. your character will make a "uhh!" sound when you get stunned and you very briefly lose control of your character, the same applies to NPC behaviour.
i'm CI, i use only castwhen stunned, its effective, also doesnt decrease dmg. only problem it doesnt work vs spell attacks
D3 treasure goblins's escape portal is an entrance to Wraeclast
Usually, you dont want to get stunned at all, because in certain situations it is very likely that you will die after you get stunned. However, cast when stunned linked to immortal call might be a good idea.
I've been using cast when stunned + immortal call since these gems were introduced. Mostly because I'd rather have the benefit of the endurance charges until I absolutely need immortal call, and usually getting stunned is the time I will need it.

Its pretty sucky at first but leveling it up a bit works well.
If you want to cast things very often, and you are regeneration-based, I'd say Cast on Stunned will serve you well.

I have an RF EK Scion with quite a low health pool but quite a lot of regeneration. When I linked CwS to Immortal Cry, I was using it far, far too often and never had Endurance Charges up (because they were always used up). So I linked it to another EK instead.

Otherwise, Swagman's way seems like the way to go. Use it for things that you want to have cast when things get REALLY hairy. (Immortal Cry comes to mind)

I'm going to consider using CwS instead of CwDT depending on how I'll fit the socket colors in (CwS is blue, CwDT is red). It'll take some testing to see which one is the most cost-effective.
