Is Leer Cast (almost) worthless for solo play?

Even if you put it on a summoner, it merely has the same net effect as taking a single +15% minion damage node, right?

I got lucky, and rolled one with an orb of chance:

No, it IS worthless. Even your summons would lose 15% damage in this circumstance, It is explicitely a multiplayer item.
A scion may be born of the rich, and as such hold more opportunity...
but a scion will never be able to appreciate the finer beauty of those less fortunate.
Is increased damage additive or multiplicative? Because if additive, it is useless even in party.

Iirc, to be multiplicative the item's damage modifier would need to say "XX% more damage." The modifier on this item says "XX% increased damage," which means it's only additive. :(

Why? Other stats on items don't affect my minions, with the exception of my shield with Necromantic Aegis and other explicitly stated mods. Why is this an exception?

I'm pretty sure Epicly_Curious is wrong. Totems or traps would lose 15% dmg, but not minions. Minions dmg would be increased by 15%.

It's not. Your minions will gain 15% increased damage.
