d3dx9_42.dll bad image when running client.exe

Yea so just recently bought acces to the beta but this gets in my way now.
I've searched this forum for other incident aswell as the internet, there seems to be a 6 step "guide" on how to fix this, but none of the steps seem to work for me.
They are listed in this thread aswell http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/36891/highlight/

but like i said it just wont work for me. If anybody has other suggestions i would love to hear them.

Try to find this file on your computer. Make a back up copy of this file somewhere, but not in that folder where it was. Delete the file. Try to run the game with out this file (just for interest). Install DirectX.

The last solution, if anything else wouldn't help, is to reinstall windows.
Sorry for my English, it's not my native language.

Its funny caus now i deleted it like you suggested and double checked that its not there but i still get the same error, not a missing file error, still the bad image error, tried rebooting and checked that it was not there again and still the same.
Try to download this file or make a copy from other computer and place it into the POE folder.

In POE folder there must be a folder called Redist which contains the DirecX with that file. Try to install that DirectX and copy the d3dx9_42.dll to the game directory.

What graphics card are you using? This looks similar to an error that can occur on graphics cards not using Pixel Shader 3.0 or higher, which is required to run the game. If this isn't the case, I'll pass this on to an expert in the office, and see what they can tell us!

Edit: just noticed Ekalindorskii's second reply and that did the trick! copying the file from the redist zip file into the game folder fixed the issue. Thanks alot :D

okay nerds, let's make this clear.

You people must extract Aug2009_D3DCompiler_42_x86 and Aug2009_d3dx9_42_x86.

And then copy those extracted files to GarenaPOE/GameData/Apps/POE. (Replace all existed files)

I'm trying to make this clear because I faced the problem too and those guys above said just extract the files and put it in the game folder.

Now, My problem is solved. No need Updates on directX.
Hey,thanks fren, your way is work me :D thanks alot
