the d3d device has a non-zero reference count, meaning some objects were not realesed. faild reseting direct3d device object. dxutcreatedevice faild.

Your card supports only pixel shader 2.0 (http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/cs-014257.htm) which is not enough to run POE. You need a video card with 3.0 and above pixel shader support

Hi,
I have the same issue, the games don't start : " unable to create Vertex shader" My card: adapter_name=NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT But it's seem's, this card support the Pixel Shader: 3.0 see, http://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/152/NVIDIA_7600_GT.html Any idea what it's the problem ? |

I can't as i'm running on a Linux machine & dxdiag is not running via wine. But whatever, i have found how to by-pass the problem : disable GLSL Thanks |
