Request for feature: chat whisper auto-reply

I'd like there to be an option to add a personal message auto-responder. Considering the only way to trade is to find someone in-game, I get frustrated by two things:
1) I'm running a map and someone contacts me. I don't want to ignore this person but I also don't want to fall behind the progress of my team
2) I contact someone who is doing maps and never hear from them. If they have trade chat, disconnect (ha, who would ever have that happen in this game?), or in general have a lot of party chat happening, my message will get lost and I won't know if they didn't like my offer or were simply busy in maps.

This would give me the flexibility to add an auto-responder while grouping to the effect of "Running maps, will be available to trade in 20 minutes, please contact me again if you have not heard back".

Heck, even if it was just a simple thing where you could add a checkbox for all players that adds an auto-responder when they're currently in a map, that would function well.

So, to summarize, auto-responder would be nice, either custom based on user input or at the least standard. Mainly for map usage but could also apply to boss fights or other situations as well.

Given the large amount of time that a lot of people spend trading, I think that this would ease a lot of the frustration people have with not getting responses from other players - something I find to be a barrier to successful trading in PoE.


Edit: /dnd is a really good addition to this idea. A lot of the people with trade threads are also on the leaderboard - which shows them as online. Even if the thread lists the player as busy or not online for trading, sites like xyz don't reflect that and a lot of people skip the step of going through the thread first before sending a message.

Edit 2: for players who get contacted because their names show on the leaderboards, being able to show as offline while busy would be another nice feature to have.

Yes, that helps. But many players still don't reply while they are mid-map.

Honestly, with my screen full of enemies, loot, and skill effects sometimes it's hard to stop and reply to a chat message.

Is this a huge issue? Absolutely not :) Small quality of life improvement.

yes a do not disturb message '/dnd' and an away message '/away' would be good. Further, some shortcuts to message the last person that messaged you or the last person you messaged would be useful. Stuff like '/r' for replying and '/wa' for whispering the same person again.

/dnd appears to work now.
