Microphone volume issues in Skype post play session.

Hey, I know this is a bit of an odd one, but I've noticed my skype will randomly spike my microphone volume to ear breaking levels at random. I'd not normally be posting this here, but it's an issue that's only come up after installing PoE and only occurs after play sessions of the game. It's really all I can narrow it down to.

Any ideas why this is going on? Restarting Skype seems to be the only fix I can find, but that's only after bombarding people I'm talking to with maxed out volume problems.

Before people ask:
-I've turned off skype's volume correction stupidity
-I've checked my drivers, all that's active is noise cancellation
-I've checked windows for a similar feature and didn't find one
(Of all three of thses, I'd still wonder why this is ONLY happening after playing PoE)

HI I have mic Issue caused by POE.

Im Running a SB XFI sound card and need to use --"softwareaudio" to stop the BSOD

I use steam for voice chat and poe will turn of the mic after a random amount of time and I need to restart the game and steam voice chat and sometimes my computer to get the mic working again.
POE is the only game that causes this issue.

I have tested with my on board audio and the MIC works fine with poe, but the sound quality on my 5 year old XFI is alot better than the sound on my year old MB.

Same issue here, my mic turns off after playing POE, but it only effects steam and Origin voice chat, my mic works fine in the windows audio panel and skype. I need to reboot my PC to fix the issue with steam and origin

The card is about 6 years old so it's not a big issue for me, the above build has a PCI slot on the board, my next build won't so the card will go on the shelf with my SB AWE 64, 32, SB 16 and SB8.
