Stash empty for new character

I recently made a new character and when I try to use the stash, it appears empty. I log on other characters in the same account to make sure the items were still there, and they are.

Your stash is only shared across characters on the same league.

Oh I didn't notice. When I made my new character, it didn't give me a choice, so I assumed it was in the same league. Thanks.
