Devourer Damage Type?

I'm trying to figure out how to fight the Orchard boss without getting absolutely obliterated.
I have evasion. I have dodge. I have spell dodge. I have spell block. I have 82% fire resist. None of these things seem to stop the 66 Orchard map boss (unique devourer) from dealing like 2500 damage per hit. Does anybody know what kind of skill his fireball is? Spell? Attack? Fire? Phys? Chaos? All I can say for sure is it's a projectile with far shot, and nothing beyond that. IGN: CorpsejackMenace

I'm CI specced, doesn't lower any damage taken tbh. 70% fire capped, 100% chaos

Only way I have been able to effectively kill him is with a cyclone and ST/LMP combo.
