Power Charges & Critical Strike Chance Calculation

Hey everyone, I have a quick question about power charges and Critical Strike Chance. I think the numbers might be wrong, but I'm not sure.

I have a 21% chance to crit for my mainhand weapon, and I gain a power charge and my crit chance increases to 25%. If I gain a second power charge then my critical chance goes up to 28% and if I gain a third charge it goes up to 32%

In the description of power charge gives you "50% increased Critical Strike Chance per Charge". So shouldn't my crit chance be increasing much more than this?

What is the value being increased by the Power Charge?

It adds to the global increased crit chance - it basicly increases your crit by 50% of your base crit value. That value is listed on weapon or on spell if it's spell.

The value 21% you mentioned is on skill tooltip and it includes current increased crit chance modifier .

Your weapon got about 7.3% base crit from what i can tell and every power charge will add half of that so sometimes you see 4% increase sometimes 3% as it gets rounded up( how it is rounded and if attacks use rounded or raw value i have no idea.)

7.3% base crit
187% global increase crit chance from gear and passives
150% increased crit chance from 3 power charges->
7.3*(1+1,87) =~21%
7,3*(1+1,87+1,5) =~32%

The only mod that modifies base crit chance is a weapon affix "increased local crit chance" and caps ~35% value i belive.
Thanks for the information. I did not know that Power Charge only deals with base weapon critical chance, that kinda sucks.
